Connor laughs softly when Anna suggests that he’ll need to inspect the crib when she’s finished, shaking his head. “If you say so. I’ll take a look when you’re done with it.” As he makes the bottle and heats it up, he listens to Anna speak and looks down at Liam. “He’ll definitely be fine if I box him in with some pillows. I don’t think we have to worry right now about him moving around while he’s asleep.” Liam is young enough that taking care of him is pretty much getting into a routine and giving him as much attention and love as possible. And he’s loving every second of fatherhood. Watching Anna move upstairs, he checks the temperature of the milk and goes to sit down on the couch with Liam, beginning to feed him. Their son seems to eat faster and faster with each day, so once he’s finished, Connor stands up and begins to walk around the room to get him to sleep. Then he takes him to their room and puts him on the bed in the same position that they discussed before heading to the nursery. He wants to step into the room to help her out, but he stands in the doorway for a moment to watch her. There’s just something extremely sexy about seeing Anna working the way she is with her hair up and her concentrating on putting the crib together. “This is something I don’t see often,” he says as he finally steps inside, stopping once again and smiling. “You look great like this, you know?” Moving further into the nursery, he sits down across from her. “Liam is down for a little while with a fully belly, so do you need any help?”
After pulling her hair up, Anna stares at all the parts then sighs for a moment before leaning over to grab the instructions. Her eyes scan the words until she hears footsteps coming up the stairs and she turns her head for a second before looking back down. Putting the instructions aside, she starts to put the pieces together. She blows a puff of air up to get her bangs out of her face and that’s when she hears his voice. Turning in her spot, she grins at him then looks around. “I know, I know.” Her eyes follow Connor as he walks into the room and smiles a little softer at his compliment. “Do I? It’s a little strange to be the one being admired for building something.” Anna winks at him then starts to work on the pieces again as he sits in front of her. “He eats faster and faster every day. Hopefully he’ll learn to start crawling soon. And I could always use help.” Setting down the pieces in her hands, she crawls over them and kisses him softly on the lips. “What princess doesn’t want a prince to come help her when she has no idea what she’s doing.” Pecking his lips again, she pulls back and hands him a screwdriver but continues to put the pieces together that she can. “Did you want to go fishing while we’re here?”

Connor doesn’t say anything when Anna says that her not wanting anyone to know where their house is is a crazy thing, but he shakes his head once. That’s not crazy to him at all. He loves that they already have their own little place in the country that is all theirs. Thankfully they also have their own little place in the Bahamas as well. Following her inside, he’s looking down at Liam’s eyes taking in everything before he looks around the house himself. A laugh falls from his lips as he notices just how clean it is and he nods at her suggestions. “We could definitely take him somewhere nice,” he replies and moves to the living with her, walking around and showing Liam a few things that are decorating the room. “Yeah, I’ll get him a bottle.” He smiles at her and nods his head, taking the bag and unzipping it with one hand to grab everything he needs to make a bottle. “Is there anything you need me to do once he’s done from the bottle? You know he’ll fall asleep as soon as he finishes up.” It never ceases to amaze him how Liam falls asleep after almost every bottle that they give him, unless he’s being fussy and, in his eyes, playing tricks on them by pretending to fall asleep while eating. “I can always put him down on the bed and come help you out. He’s not moving enough yet for that to be a problem.”
She watches out of the corner of her eye as Connor moves to get the bottle ready, smiling a bit before she starts to work on getting the crib out. For the most part, it’s already assembled but she ponders if she should take the pieces upstairs and do it there or down here. Biting her lip in thought, she looks over when he asks her a question and shakes her head. “You should relax for a little bit since you drove us here. Though you’ll probably have to double check the crib after I get it together.” Anna laughs a bit then looks down at the pieces before grabbing one and getting ready to go upstairs with it. She thinks about what he said, how their son will fall asleep immediately after eating and that makes her move a bit faster to get the piece up before moving down to the living room again for the next one. “He’ll probably be fine on our bed and we can just use the baby monitor while we set up his room. And we could box him in with pillows.” Anna smiles over at him then takes the other pieces upstairs before she grabs the instructions and looks over them. It really isn’t that complicated but she feels a little wary about her skills in this since Connor is the one who usually puts everything together. Either way, she pulls up her hair and sits down to start assembling it.

Connor’s glad that he and Anna are finally getting to take Liam on his first vacation. Granted, they won’t be able to be gone too long, but it’s nice to be able to go somewhere just the three of them and be as normal as possible for a while. Everything at the palace is beginning to change and he’s not sure how much time they’ll have as a family if and when her father decides he’s ready to give them the throne. It will be a huge change for him and Anna as a couple, though thankfully they’ve been able to make their relationship work despite the less than normal lives that they live. He smiles as he pulls up to their house and he can hear Liam in the backseat gurgling. “I think he’s happy to be here,” he comments at her question to Liam, turning off the car and looking over at his wife. “I know I am.” Getting out, he walks around to wrap an arm around her waist and looks at the house. It has been a while since they’ve been able to come to their house in Finland and he’s glad that they made the time to do it now. There’s a lot that needs to be done to set up Liam’s nursery. The thought that they’ll be setting up a nursery for him also assures him that they’ll be doing their best to come as much as possible in the next year or so while he is still in a crib. “Mark brought everything. I checked with him before he left to make sure he had everything. No one else will ever step foot onto this soil.” He kisses the side of her head. He understands her concern, but he’ll make sure no one else knows about it. If they do, he’ll take care of that himself. “Let’s get inside, okay?” He bounces Liam gently and looks down at him. “What do you say, buddy? Want to go in and get something to eat before your nap?”
Anna smiles when he wraps his arm around her waist, looking down at their little boy as he looks around with wide eyes. She tickles his belly and grins all while listening to Connor talks. “Okay, good. I know it sounds crazy that I don’t want anyone knowing about our house but it’s just nice to have a place in our country that we can escape to.” Her eyes move up to meet his and she gives him a small smile, knowing that it is a ridiculous notion but he’ll understand why she wants it a certain way. Anna nods and looks down at Liam before leading the way to their house, pulling out her keys so that she can unlock the door. When they move inside, she looks around and laughs a bit before turning around. “We need to take Mark out for a really nice dinner. He dusted the house already.” Setting her keys on a counter and putting both the diaper bag and her purse down, she moves into the living room to look for the crib that they can set up before moving to get his room ready. “Do you want to get his bottle warm while I set up the crib? It shouldn’t take too long.” She knows that Connor likes the bonding time with their son and she’s willing to give him a little bit with Liam since he drove down here and she tried to keep him entertained during the drive. “Looking for the blankets and sheets will probably take the longest, if anything.” Anna smiles at them both before searching the room with her eyes.
The day before, Anna and Connor had decided that they should get away from everything at the palace just so the three of them could relax and just be a family. It felt like, at least to her, that she didn’t see much of her husband due to work and she hates it. Though she does realize that they are royalty and that all eyes of the country are on them now since they had their little prince and her father would most likely hand the throne over to them soon. Either way, she’s excited to be with Connor and Liam for a few days to be normal parents like she thinks Connor would’ve imagined for himself instead of how they are now.
They show up at their house by a small town in Finland and Anna can’t help but grin widely at it. She’s missed being here and decorating it, but now she gets the chance to add onto it because of their son. Getting out of the car, she stares around then moves the chair she was sitting in to get Liam out of the backseat of Connor’s car that she brought over from Scotland. “What do you think, Liam? It’s our other home and we get to decorate your room before you go to bed tonight.” Anna kisses the side of his head then adjusts her sunglasses, walking over to her husband so that he can hold their son while she grabs the diaper bag. “Are we sure that Mark brought over all of the things we got for his room? You know I don’t really trust anyone else to know about this place.” She bites her lip, slightly worried that he’ll think she’s being overprotective and paranoid about it.
You still do a lot. It will be nice for both of us to get away and we can share the responsibilities.
He would definitely glare at you and tell you that you’re imagining things. Oh… You did? I want to ask him about that, but I’m not sure if I should. Then again, he does like to flirt with a lot of girls. She likely just wanted to get away from him, though girls do seem to like him. Alright, I’ll think about dinner.
You do a lot, too. We’ll be parents all on our own without any help.
Of course, because no man that I know can be cute or adorable. Except for Liam. He’s not old enough to not qualify for those words. You should definitely ask him! Harass him a bit to get an answer ;) Poor girl probably didn’t know how to flirt back with him.
I think you deserve a break as well. Oh, but they are.
I know he does. He’s always telling me what Liam did even if I was in the room. It really shows how much I think he’d like a child of his own one day. if only he had a girlfriend. Yes, that’s another great idea.
I haven’t been doing much other than watching over Liam.
Does he really? That’s so sweet and adorable! Though he’d probably glare at me for saying such things. I think I caught him and my assistant flirting the other day. She turned bright red and took Liam out of my arms to voluntarily change his diaper. It was strange. We’ll get it taken care of. And you can pick what’s for dinner.
